The Zen Zadravec Quartet is coming to Winnipeg, Canada to play the Groove FM 99.1 JAZZ WINNIPEG FESTIVAL. The quartet will be playing music from Zen's new CD - COMING OF AGE

As Zen's former piano instructor at Rutgers University quite a few years ago, I am particularly happy with the results of his debut recording. Mr Zadravec is not only a first rate pianist, but also a first rate composer, and arranger with a wide creative pallette.
His playing is muscular and filled with a sense of adventure. His writing is full of interesting harmonic surprises and textures. I believe this first recording by Zen Zadravec says that there will be many more recordings with even more surprises.

10.25.07 - Touring with Gloria Gaynor!!!
I just did a tour in Argentina with Gloria, and it went amazingly well. Also,CHOPS the Band and I are also doing three shows with her in Atlantic City, Fort Lauderdale, and Washington D.C.

10.31.06 - DEBUT JAZZ CD
Great News!!! ZEN ZADRAVEC is happy to announce that he will be recording his debut Straight-Ahead Jazz CD on January 28 & 29, 2007 at Bennett Studios. The session is going to be amazing! It will feature: Zen Zadravec on Piano, Todd Bashore on Alto & Soprano Saxophones, Alex Hernandez on Bass, and Chris Brown on Drums. The CD will also have as special guests: Kenny Davis on Bass, Conrad Herwig on Trombone, Derrick Gardner on Trumpet, and Anibal Rojas on Tenor Saxophone and Flute.

I am really excited about this band...I've got Jerard Snell on drums, Greg Novick on electric bass, and of coarse I kept my partner in crime Anibal Rojas on tenor sax/EWI. People better duck when they hear us because this band is DEADLY!!!
